Message : Dear Lorilor, Poorman was fired from KROQ about three or four years ago because of a prank he played on either Kevin or Bean (I forget which one, I'll use Kevin). He gave Kevin's address on the air and told all the listeners to go over there. Needless to say, too many people showed up. Poorman told them to park their cars facing his house, turn on the headlights, and honk their horns. Kevin's wife came out, told them to leave because she had just called the police. The police showed up, broke the "riot" up. Why did he do this? Well, Kevin and Bean had earlier sent Michael the Maintenance Man (a.k.a. the traitor) with a bullhorn (K and B's old m.o.) and told him to go into his house to wake him up. Poorman was woken up to a bullhorn aimed at his face. He wasn't too happ y with this, so he retaliated. Only thing is, since Poorman was already walking on thin ice with KROQ management, so this was the last straw. This was a pretty huge thing; where were you when this happened? Oh, and by the way: BobK, you are totally right in your assesment of certain people.

They are the only ones announced because Flea actually made a commitment to do it during a Kevin and Bean interview back when Chad broke his wrist. They were originally going to play at the Acoustic Christmas, but because of Chad's accident, they had to cancel. So, to make up, Flea promised the Weenie Roast. Message : I just got back from the RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE concert. It was incredible people moshing everywhere just thousands of them even in the stands. The crowd by far had the most energy of any concert i've been to. It is not the perfect forum, but there exists a maturity that is not found here. Quite frankly, this site has become a playground for ignorant,pre-pubescent children and it is insulting to those of us that actually have valid opinions and questions. Message : To all the displaced KROQ fans: The Weenie Roast line-up for June 15th was announced earlier this week: No Doubt, Garbage, Lush, Goldfinger, Everclear, Vervepipe and Red Hot Chili Peppers. (I'm sure I forgot one!) They will announce more bands i n the near future. They haven't said yet, but tickets will probably go on sale this Saturday (the 18th).
