Try this:
(It's an idea I saw on these boards some time ago)

Buy a piece of about 30cm of 6 or 7mm plastic tubing from any hardware, plastic or department type store, and then curl it so it is about the same diameter as the STJ's entrance. Leave it curled for about 2 days.

Having 'trained' the tubing to curl to about the correct diameter, cut a too long piece to go around the circumference of the entrance.

Select the 'top' side of the curled tubing and using a hobby knife cut along the tubing so you create a slice lenghtways into which the jar entrance will sit.

Test the fit on the STJ's rim. Re-test the fit just to make sure ;) Now, cut the tubing so it is slightly (3 or 4 mm) too long and then refit for a test. NOTE: The outside of the tubing will need to be cut at an angle to account for the greater length required! Cut to make a very tight fit when the ends are butted into each other on the rim.

(Now for the messy part!)
Having satisfied yourself that the tubing is a *very* tight fit around the STJ's entrance, evenly fill the tubing with an adhesive. I used "No More Nails" - an effective, cheap builders adhesive ($NZ5 a tube). Firmly place the tubing over the STJ's entrance making sure it is not twisted. place the STJ entrance end down and _leave it alone_ for 24-36 hours! (Crucial otherwise the glue doesn't cure fully.)

After it has cured you should have a nice rounded entrance that sits reasonably comfortably.
It took me 5 goes to get the technique right, so don't expect success with this first time!
PS - the cure time I have learned to respect...!
