The best electric system is the Vacutech VT9000.
I have both. I bought the Megavac in Dec. 96. It took about a month to arrive and when I tried to use it the cylinder would not fit. (see below)
I then bought a cylinder from Vacutech. I measured myself and gave them my size and they sent a cylinder that fit me perfectly.
In March I saw the Vacutech site and saw the VT9000 with the close-up pictures and ordered from their site and received it in three days (Wow!).
A comparison follows:

The VT9000 makes very little noise when compared with Kaplans' Megavac.
The VT9000 is fully contained in its own carrying case (built in handle) with vacuum control, vacuum gauge, and power switch on a covered control panel.
The Megavac is unwieldy and awkward to use. It has no vacuum gauge and no control panel.
The VT9000 has easy to remove tubing using the same connectors on both ends to simplify replacement if anything gets into the tubing.
The Megavac tubing is permanently attached so replacement is difficult.
Vacutech has great customer service; Kaplan does not.
Vacutech has a one-year warranty on all their products (all pumps & all cylinders) while Kaplan only has a one-year warranty on the motor and none on his cylinders.
I can't use Kaplans cylinders because they taper (get smaller) at the top and my penis does not taper (my head is wider than the shaft) at all.
You can call Vacutech Toll Free, but Kaplan has a 900 Number (I have called it - Don't bother).
Overall Vacutech and their products are better - see the close-ups on Vacutech at:

http://www.vacutech.com/vt9000cp-b.htm

then compare it with Kaplan at:

You can see the difference!
