I hope to goodness that you are not serious about drilling into a pickle jar. If you are worried about costs, here's what you are going to pay: for equipment - drill, bits, sanders, and AGONGY AND FRUSTRATION (IF NOT PAIN) when the jar (a) "blows" up while trying to alter it, (b) you realize that you've already spent several hours on the project and NOW the glass is showing spider fissures, (c) the cost of connectors and parts if (b) has not happened yet, and (C) the paranoina about and extreeme potential for an imploding jar IF you get the rig set up - trying to explain to an Emergency Room admitting nurse why you are presenting with shards of glass in your penis, scrotum and pelvic area will really hurt. SUCH GLASS IS NOT MEANT TO BE ALTERED. IT IS WEAK. Now I'' let the engineers in the forum follow-up with the particulars. Be patient, save your money for the 2-stager, or getting a larger single stager. I don't know you but I do know that your time and health are well worth the wait.
