Hello SA. Don't get discouraged, I think there are several reasons that you may not be getting the desired results. First I have noticed that I don't get the same results in the winter as in summer, even if I'm not out in the cold. This is probably a left over protective mechanism for the reproductive system from caveman days (another one of my theorys that I can't prove but seems to make sense.) I spend a lot of time in Hawaii or Florida in winter and even in warmer climates I don't get the same results in winter. As for water intake I've never felt that that was a big factor but probably doesn't hurt. You didn't mention what type of lubricant you use. I have also found that some types tend to shrink the tissue and some types tend to relax the tissue. You might try a different lube. I use "Fruit of the Earth" brand lotion with aloe and have had better luck with it than any other. Some just seem to cause everything to suck up just like when you're cold, which really slows down the process. Hope this helps, Beachballs
