Heyo!

Just discovered nice way to put on a sleeve other than shoving a nut through.

I normally use 16 rings (working up to 20, one ring at a time), but wanted some more weight. I happened to be at the hardware store and checked out the plumbing supplies while I was there.
In the galvanized pipe section was a 2 inch x 1.5 inch sleeve, threaded on the inside. My conversions have it as about the length of 8 rings but about 1 lb in weight (vs 1/2 lb!)
So, I picked it up, brought it home. I remembered someone here mentioning socks to keep the rings from chaffing (Thanks, whoever!)
and followed this pattern:

1. put on 1 ring the old fashioned way...shoved the nuts through. (1st ring seems to "soften" them up for others!) Made sure skin was through ring.
2. Put on cutoff nylon sock, pulling it through the ring.
Now, nuts in ring, inside sock.
3. Put sock through sleeve, and pulled on sock, and the nuts followed.
I did have to do a little skin moving from inside the sock, as with rings, but not much.
Pop! Wiggle! Damn things through.
4. Tried it with subsequent rings...worked well too! And cut down the friction, rubbing, on the skin
as well.

So, now the same length as 16, but with 1/2 lb more weight.

Going back to the hardware store for that 3 inch sleeve....

(Will post pics next week, if anyone interested.
