I bought my first Catalogue X tube almost 2 yrs ago, and it still works fine, as does the second tube I bought from them. The only problem I've had is with the rubber ring...it breaks down after a while. That is probably some sort of a reaction to anything used for lube with an oil/petroleum base. I did take one tube back to Catalogue X - with the receipt - and they replaced it. It happened again, but I'm using it with out the rubber ring with no problem.

Have you filled the tube with water to check for leaks? If so, and you found none, then maybe you need to look at what you're using for lube. I've found that petroleum jelly works better than anything for pumping. It isn't slippery like lotions, and it helps the tube to seal well against me. And no, I don't have to shave either.

Hope I've helped.
