I'm not Bawcock, but I'll give you my procedure - he may do it another way. When I use a manual pump, I soak the tube in the bathroom sink in hot, hot water for 10 - 15 minutes before I pump. This gives a nice moist heat that the dick and balls LOVE. Then I change the water and get less hot water - a good idea since once I didn't change the water and I scalded the little fella. Then you fill the tube half full and stand over the bath tub and aim the spicket into the tub, otherwise you have a hell of a mess. Keep the top of the tube higher than the base, otherwise you'll pull out all the water in the tube and end up with just the cock again. Once a good vaccuum holds you can wrap the tube in a heat pack, a microwavable pack is best. For obvious reasons don't use an electric heating pad. An alternative and easier method is to do it in the bathtub - just lay back and enjoy yourself (smile).
