When you pump with heat, you get the same end result, everything just happens faster and it feels better. It doesn't allow a higher pressure and is not a substitute for regular pumping. In fact if you're using too much vacuum, a donut will appear in record time, as Sonny points out. Another good point he raised -- dry heat, with a heat pad wrapped around the cyclinder is also a good way to go (but not in the bath tube). Wet or dry heat, both get the job done -- it's a matter of personal preference. I do both.
