for the most part, it's an ego, self-esteem and body image thing. yeah, guys do it to, just not with their thighs like women do. we zero in on other body attributes.
i for one, know that most women could care less before you actually introduce them to the world of the bigger sizes. (then they get enthusiastic about it) so i know that for me it's all about me, and the way i feel about myself. it's like an act test or something. if i'm in the 99th percentile there, i want to do the same with penis size. (95th and counting...)
besides, there are worse hobbies to pursue.
