I tried to post this message last night, but wasn't able to, so here we go:

Whether or not you care to acknowledge it, I myself, and every other homosexual, lesbian or bisexual person on the face of this planet, is a child of God. Created in the image and likeness of God by God. That is the basic truth which is present in every version of the Bible, and what every Christian religion teaches.

You do state some truth in your overly long disertation on what you consider truth, that being the fact that God has appointed Jesus Christ to be the one who judges. If that is truly what you believe, then who gave you the power to out rank Christ? On the Final Day, I myself will have to answer to God the almight for my own personal actions and choices in life. Not you, or any one else. Just me myself for my own actions. So by what authority do you see yourself fit to judge my actions for God? By whose power do you justify your decision on whether or not my heart is hardened to God's Word, and God's calling me to my chosen path in life? I'm so tired of everyone else telling me what God has chosen for me that I'm not doing. I listen daily to what God speaks to me. It's just getting harder and harder to hear God over all the noise that others are yelling at me.
My sexual orientation is yet one more gift from God that empowers me to be who I am, and enables me to better serve ALL God's children by being able to see life differently from others. By this gift of being gay, I am able to see through the eyes of one who is pursecuted for being different. I can share the pain of others and the pain that Christ felt upon the cross for preaching that which the Jewish leaders of that time did not wish to hear because it was different from their "laws" which kept people out and judged people "unworthy".

So yes, whether or not it agrees with you, I too, am a child of God. I was created by God in the image and likeness of God. I was given gifts from God that make me who I am, unique and individual. I am called by God to serve those who are around me, to reach out to them and love them with a non-judgement, all accepting love that Christ Jesus showed us through his life here on earth. To accept others for who they are, and not for who I think they should be. And yes, God alone will judge me on the final day of my life for all my choices and actions. I alone will have to answer for my sins. But what is the greater sin? Accepting all my gifts from God, or as scripture puts it, "hiding my light under a bushel" where it can give no light. In any case, the fact still remains: God alone will judge me. So please, let God do God's work, and stop judging me. Only God knows what's in my heart, not you. Only God calls me to life, not you. And if by my example, others may hear God's calling, and answer that call, so be it.

Thanks you for your documented scripture passages, however, none of them actually say that being gay is a sin. They all speak of truth and light and judgement. But none of them actually say that being gay is wrong. It's only your misguided interpretation of those words, words that you use to exclude, separate and judge others by. My prayer for you is that you may someday soon find the true meaning of the words that you speak in God's name.

A Child of God
(who works for God, and who assist others to find God through my example of true Christian living and through my God given gifts which I use daily in my chosen vocation within the Chruch.)
