I share the same questions and concerns as you. It seems that no matter how long or how often you pump, the gains are never permanent, but we have to consider this.
Once ago I purchased a cheap mail order pump that came boxed with a video tape called: Penis Enlargement. It feature Scott Taylor using a pump, man i must say that his dick was pretty thich and somewhat long, maybe about 61/2 -7" flaccid. His cylinder size had to be about (I'm not goo with sizes) 5-6" in diameter.
My point is this, how else could he have pumped up to that size cylinder if his gains weren't somewhat permanent. I once read that pumping is like bodybuilding, meaning, if you keep at it the results will be long lasting, but when you stop, you should expect to lose some mass.
