CTC XL-2000 Vacuum High to Low Range

Can any users of the CTC XL-2OOO tell me what the vacuum high to low range can be adjusted to during the pumping cycle, in other words, from high suck to low suck. I can't get any numbers on this from CTC. They also say that it has an inline vacuum gage, not a dial one. What are they talking about? BTW, is the unit very quiet like they say or is it noisy enough to be annoying? CTC also claims there is no risk of electrocution if the XL-2000 is used with water. Has anyone tried to do this?
